HUNTING
AND SIGHTSEEING TOURS IN CENTRAL EUROPE |
 |
|
INTRODUCTION TO HUNGARY |
Formerly part of the communist eastern-block,
Hungary has a very impressive and turbulent past. It's history is very interesting, complex and well worth discovering.
Hungary, a member of the European Union is about 36.000
sq miles and is home to 10.196.000 very friendly People right
in the heart of Europe. Austria boarders on to the West and
the Cities Graz and Vienna are only hours from most of our
hunting estates.
A perfect opportunity to add some Austrian
sightseeing after or before the hunt. Budapest is Hungary's capital and offers some very nice sights as well. The Danube flows right through Budapest and had it once divided in to two cities along it's
banks. Buda and Pest. |

HUNTING IN HUNGARY |
A No 1 destination for bowhunting - Hungary
has one of the best wildlife management systems to date.
The vast numbers of quality game will impress everyone and
provide excellent experiences. We have access to many different
hunting areas that offer very high populations of Red Deer,
Roe Deer, Russian Boar, Fellow Deer and Muflon Sheep.
Most
concessions are around 20,000 acres or more and have their
own "hunters
lodge" accommodation
for the guests. These houses are all very nice and offer
such comforts as separate bedrooms or sweets and modern bathrooms.
The meals are always plentiful, above average in quality
and are usually served three times a day unless the lunch
is planned to be taken out while hunting. A world class Hungarian
red wine is only fitting to compliment some of the mouthwatering
venison dishes prepared from only the prime cuts of deer
and boar.
Hungary is also the perfect place to bring a non-hunting
companion. With over 1000 spas with mineral springs
and wellness facilities. Breathtaking castles and palaces
like the Royal Palace of Godollo www.kiralyikastely.hu or
a tour of the largest porcelain factory in the world at www.herend.com .
A non hunting companion will never forget this trip.

The hunting seasons
for the five big game animal species are:
Red Deer Sep. 01 to Jan. 31 (special bow opening Aug. 1st in one of our areas)
Fallow Deer Oct. 01 to Jan. 31
Russian Boar all year
Roe Deer Apr. 15 to Sep. 30
Muflon Sheep Sep. 01 to Feb. 28
If you plan to hunt one or two animals 7 full hunting days
should be a minimum. For three to five animals 10 to 14 hunting
days will be a good suggestion for bow hunters. If an animal
is wounded 50% of the trophy fee will be charged. Keep in
mind though that all concessions have access to excellent
blood trailing dogs and they will do their absolute best
to find that animal.
On a usual hunting day breakfast comes early then your guide
would like to have you at the right place well before daybreak.
After the morning hunt we usually come back for a lunch and
a rest. The guides will be back at the hunters lodge right
on time to get out there with you before the game starts
moving.
An old traditional way of hunting in Hungary is by horse carriage or sled when there is snow. We usually have that organized once or twice during a trip and such a tour lasts well in to the day. A hearty lunch and thermoses with hot tee or coffee are on board and for the non hunting companion, such a romantic outing offers fond memories. We usually see lots of game that way at close range. The animals watch the horse-sled or carriage drive by as if they were out there to do their usual forest work.
Included: An English speaking EuroSafari
escort during your whole stay, transportation from and to
airport, all transportation within the country, accommodation,
meals, non alcoholic beverages, 1 on 1 hunting guiding, field
care of trophies and packaging for shipping, licenses and
permits, hunting liability insurance and interpreting.
Not included: Flights, alcoholic beverages, cost for changes in your schedule, additional hunting day $ 350, non-hunting companion $ 150/day, sightseeing tours $200/day, spa treatments, extra shows, tours or concerts.
Kill fees depend on the size of the trophy and will be announced by your guide + - 10% when you see the animal. You can then decide if you would like to take it or not.
An important preparation of this hunt is to inform us of your species and trophy size wishes. We can then give you a trophy fee cost and plan your hunt in the proper areas. |
